Blizzard conditions are expected to continue in southeast Missouri throughout the morning although the winter storm has blown its way out of Missouri.   The state transportation department has called in extra road crews from the Hannibal area to help keep roads open.

MODOT spokesman Beth Wright says blowing snow powered by 30-40 mph gusts are causing white-out conditions at times.

The weather service had forecast accumulations of 6-12 inches.

Ameren reports about 3,000 people have lost power in southeast Missouri because of the storm.
