We now know, generally, where Missouri’s winning Powerball ticket was sold.   The state lottery says somebody bought  it in the Kansas City region.  The store will be pinpointed later.

Lottery Director May Reardon says the winner should take some immediate action.

Missouri has one of the two Powerball winners. The other ticket was sold in Arizona.  In addition, two Missouri tickets matched five of the white ball numbers, meaning those people receive one-million dollars.  Those tickets were sold in Joplin and in Kansas City.

The Missouri winner has 180 days to claim his or her share of the 587-milion dollar jackpot.  They can get their money in 30 payments or can claim a lump-sum award.  But they must claim their one-time payment within 60 days or they’ll automatically get the money spread through 30 payments.
