The Rams knew when they drafted Janoris Jenkins there was off-field baggage. After serving a one-game suspension with wide receiver Chris Givens, the rookie cornerback will play this weekend when the Rams host the Jets…probably not starting, but will be dressed.

“They’ll play,” Head Coach Jeff Fisher said.

Jenkins and Givens spoke yesterday to the media, but didn’t say why they were suspended. A source for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch said the players, along with backup defensive tackle Kellen Heard, were out partying Friday night and either missed a team curfew or showed up late for a team meeting. Heard was released by the team last Saturday.

Jenkins is just trying to get back on Fisher’s good side.

“My coach and my teammates, we talked about it. It won’t happen any more, and I’m just looking forward to moving forward.”
