Missouri senior guard Michael Dixon will remain suspended and will not play in Saturday’s season opener against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. Dixon did not play in the preseason games after violating team rules. Head coach Frank Haith did not provide any other details. Dixon was also suspended in December of 2010 for a violation of team rules. Dixon was a projected starter after averaging 13.5 points last year as Mizzou’s sixth man.
