A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison related to an arrest in December of three men selling heroin from a motel in St. Louis. 29-year-old Quantraill Earl Smith pled guilty in July to felony distribution of heroin, having a gun in furthering a drug trafficking crime and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Authorities say when Smith was picked up he resisted and assaulted the arresting detective and attempted to pull first his own gun, then the detective’s gun.
