Mizzou quarterback James Franklin, who sprained his left knee during the loss to Vanderbilt on Oct. 6, plans to play in the Tigers’ homecoming game against Kentucky on Oct. 27.

According to the Columbia Daily Tribune, Franklin was attending the Mizzou volleyball match on Sunday, when he told a reporter the plan is for him to play. He’s wearing a soft brace on his left knee after just getting the hard brace removed on Sunday.

Corbin Berkstresser has gone 54 of 113 with three touchdowns and three interceptions on the season, which includes six games and two starts. Franklin is 73 of 119 with four touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s thrown for more yards (805-627) and has a higher completion percentage (61.3-47.8) than Berkstresser.
