The Appellate Judicial Commission has narrowed the list of applicants for the Supreme Court.

18 judges applied to fill the vacancy left by Judge William Ray Price, Junior who resigned in August. The commission has selected three nominees: The Honorable Michael Manners, a circuit judge in Jackson County, Stanley Wallach, an attorney in St. Louis and Paul Wilson, an attorney in Columbia.

Governor Jay Nixon has 60 days to select one of them for the vacancy. If that doesn’t happen, the commission will make the appointment.
