Two people have been indicted in the murder of a Willard couple, a year and a half after their disappearance.
The bodies of Russell and Rebecca Porter were found weeks after they disappeared in the Mark Twain National Forest. Today, Taney County Prosecutor Jeff Merrill announced the charges against Tony Friend of Springfield and Dusty Hicks of Walnut Grove.
Friend and Hicks are charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and felonious restraint.
Merrill would not comment to a motive in the crime or what it took to get the indictments.
