The AFC West-leading San Diego Chargers took advantage of six Chiefs turnovers in a 37-20 victory Sunday. Five of the turnovers came in the first half, as San Diego (3-1) jumped out to a 27-6 lead. In all, the Chargers scored 24 points off six turnovers.

In his 100th career start, Phillip Rivers passed the 25,000-yard plateau as he threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He’s 9-4 against the Chiefs.

Matt Cassel threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs (1-3), but he had three first-half interceptions. Jamaal Charles also fumbled twice. Dwayne Bowe had seven catches for 108 yards and a touchdown for Kansas City.
