Rams COO Kevin Demoff said before the team can grow globally, they need to make sure they are on solid footing with their fan base in St. Louis. Demoff announced the Rams have cancelled their plans to play games in London in 2013 and 2014.  The Rams will play New England on October 28, in London.

Demoff also said the move should help ease concerns with fans that the team will move after the 2014 season. The St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has been negotiating with the Rams over improvements to the dome, which need to get the venue in the top 25% of all NFL stadiums by 2014. Unless a deal is worked out, the Rams could leave the city.

Demoff said the team is committed to finding a first-tier solution with the city.
