The company than runs the bus that crashed last week while bound for Missouri, killing a University of Missouri graduate student, is now the subject of a federal investigation.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration investigators are now looking at Megabus’s operating procedures and safety practices.

That crash, that left 25-year-old Aditi Avhad dead, was followed by the death of a 76-year-old woman in Chicago who was hit by one of the company’s buses on Tuesday. The next day one of its buses caught fire in Georgia, but no one was injured.
