Southwest Missouri residents are cleaning up after a severe storm last evening packing what the National Weather Service called “tornado-like” winds. The storm downed tree branches and power lines, damaged a barn and a car port and according to one report, put a 2×6 board “through a Cadillac.”
A tornado warning was issued at one point for Cape Girardeau, Bollinger and Scott counties but so far no reports indicate one touched down.
