400 jobs are coming to downtown St. Louis in the next 3 to 5 years, as Wells Fargo Advisors expands its headquarters there.

The move will grow the company’s workforce in downtown St. Louis to about 5,000. Governor Nixon will announce today 12.6 million dollars in state incentives to support the jobs and 33 million dollar expansion of the company’s downtown facility.

Company officials say the cost of living in St. Louis is cheaper than in Minneapolis, where it leases office space. The projected wage for the jobs will be over 59 thousand dollars.
