Congressman Sam Graves today issued the following statement regarding the Supreme Court decision on National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius and Florida v. United States Department of Health and Human Services:
“The Supreme Court’s decision will not deter House Republicans from doing again what we’ve done 29 times already – vote to repeal, de-fund, and dismantle this health care law.
“We intend to start from square one with simple, common sense reforms that put patients in charge and help bring down costs. Our Founding Fathers never intended for the federal government to grow to this size or be this powerful. This ruling straps a huge burden onto the backs of taxpayers and forces patients into government-run programs.
“Like most of America, Northwest Missourians are opposed to this law, and I will continue working to replace it with a plan that returns control of healthcare to families and individuals, not the government.”
