One of two men involved in a Kansas City bank robbery that left a security guard dead has been sentenced to prison for 87 years. Ira Lee French Junior and another man shot a 70-year old security guard as he arrived for work, then drove away in his car without getting any money. French’s accomplice also has pleaded guilty. He’ll be sentenced later this week
