Thorco Industries LLC plans to idle its operations at plants in Butler and Cassville, effective July 1.

A statement from Thorco’s management blames “reduced business levels” for the action – which the company says it regrets. Twenty-seven people are employed at the Thorco facilities in Butler and Cassville.

Thorco plans to continue providing high-quality store fixtures and related products and services from its plants in Lamar and Nevada to leading retailers in North America — including Thorco-manufactured shelves for Wal-Mart stores. Thorco’s employees at Butler and Cassville were informed of the company’s plans Wednesday.
