A South-east Missouri man in his early 70’s who fought with the Police Chief in Advance for control of a pistol has been sentenced to three years in prison. A jury had convicted Scotty Hooe of Marble Hill of assault and armed criminal action in April. Police Chief Donnie Bohnsack says he had stopped Hooey for a traffic violation and Hooey pointed the gun at him. Bohnsack says he took the gun away and had to use a stun gun to get Hooey under control.
