The empty former federal courthouse in Cape Girardeau is for sale again. The company that bought it during a government auction earlier this year wants $1 million for it, about three times what it paid for the building.
The county commission covets the building but has rejected the owner’s offer to sell it to the county for $525,000, which is $200,000 more that it sold for at auction.
