Kansas City starts putting clamps on nighttime fun by teenagers, starting tonight. The city curfew law says people younger than 18 cannot be in the city entertainment district after 9 p.m., unless accompanied by an adult. The curfew continues through the last Sunday in September.

The city started imposing the curfew after unsupervised young people started causing problems in the Country Club Plaza area. The incidents culminated in a shooting that wounded three people.
