Wade Miley pitched seven innings for Arizona and scored one of their runs on a bunt single in the first as the Diamondbacks beat the Royals 2-0.  Miley is now 5-1 after holding the Royals to five hits while walking two and striking out three. It was the Royals 17th loss in 22 home games this season.

Jeff Francoeur had four of Kansas City’s seven hits to match his career high. It was Francoeur’s first four-hit game since last Aug. 23 at Toronto.
