More Elk head to South Missouri Conservation area

More elk are coming to southern Missouri. The Conservation Department plans to bring 35 more wild elk to the Show-Me State’s herd at Peck Ranch Conservation Area in Shannon, Carter and Reynolds Counties, May 18. They are being brough in from Kentucky. The Department says 31 adult elk and five calves born last spring are already in Missouri as part of its restoration effort that began last year.
