A bill that would require phone companies to help Missouri law enforcement agencies find cellphone callers in emergency situations has advanced in the Senate.
Cellphone companies can already provide such information, but are not required to.
Cellphone tracking can be used to find people who are missing or people who hang up before they can give their location when calling 9-1-1.
