Hallmark Cards is hoping its buyout offer will encourage 300 to 400 employees to leave. Hallmark says its recovery from the recession has been slow, resulting in flat revenues last year. A spokesman expects 2012 to be a tough year, too.
About 1,500 Hallmark workers are eligible for the buyout.
