Torry Holt who spent the first decade of his NFL career as one of the stars of the “Greatest Show on Turf,” where he caught 869 passes for 12,660 yards and 74 touchdowns, signed a one-day contract with the Rams and retired from the NFL.
At the end of his 11-year career, Holt ranked 10th in NFL history in receiving yards (13,382) and 13th in receptions (920). In his rookie season, Holt posted seven catches for 109 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl XXXIV to help win a world championship.
During his time with the Rams, Holt led all NFL receivers in receptions (868) and yards (12,594) and he ranked fifth in touchdown catches (68). Also in that time, Holt led the NFL with 1,653 receiving yards, which started a string of an NFL-record six-consecutive seasons with at least 1,300 yards. He also surpassed the 11,000-yard mark in just 131 games, making him the fastest player in NFL history to reach the milestone.
