Despite a 5-2 loss to Columbus on Saturday night at Scottrade Center, the Blues clinched the Central Division and guaranteed themselves one of the top two positions in the Western Conference thanks to Nashville’s 5-4 loss to Chicago.  This marks the Blues’ first Central Division title since the 1999-2000 season, when they claimed the Presidents’ Trophy with the League’s best record: 51-19-11-1 (114 points). That year the Blues were bounced from the playoffs in the first round by San Jose.

The Blues with 106 points, are one behind Vancouver in the Western Conference and also a point behind New York for the top record with three games left starting with Detroit at home on Wednesday.

Playoff tickets go on sale Wednesday as well and more information can found here.
