13 was good enough to get to the semifinals of the Final Four three-point shooting contest last night on the campus of Tulane in New Orleans for Missouri senior Marcus Denmon, but 13 in the semifinals couldn’t cut it. Denmon was the first of the final four shooters to go and had a couple of shots that just missed going in. Denmon had to hurry along his last five shots from the right baseline as time was running out. In fact, he didn’t get his last shot (worth two points) off in time. The shot went in but didn’t count.

Denmon told the Kansas City Star that he showed up to win the event. “Every time it went in and out, it ticked me off,” Denmon said. “I never got a chance to get in a good rhythm. I didn’t even get to finish the last (rack).”
