Donte Poole drained four three-pointers and scored 25 points to lead No. 14/16 Murray State (25-1, 13-1) to a 75-66 win over Southeast Missouri (14-12, 9-5) Wednesday night in front of a sellout crowd of 7,125 at the Show Me Center.

Murray State remained unbeaten on the road (11-0) en route to clinching its third-straight Ohio Valley Conference title.

“I’m disappointed we sent our fans home with a loss in this highly-anticipated game,” said Southeast head coach Dickey Nutt. “We still have a lot of basketball left to play and I don’t take anything away from our team.”

Southeast struggled to get shots to fall in the first half, making just 8-of-30 field goals. Despite the slow start, the Redhawks never trailed by more than four points until the last 6:22.

Southeast hits the road for its final three games of the regular-season. The Redhawks will step out of conference play to travel to McNeese State for a BracketBuster matchup Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m., CT.
