The St. Louis Rams have announced a 4 p.m. press conference for this afternoon to introduce Les Snead as the new general manager. Snead was the Atlanta Falcons Director of Player Personnel. Snead replaces Billy Devaney who stepped down following the team’s 2-14 season.

Snead was one of the first three candidates for the job that got interviews by the St. Louis Rams and was first interviewed before Jeff Fisher was hired as head coach. Snead spent 13 years with Atlanta covering both college and pro scouting efforts. Snead came to Atlanta from Jacksonville, where he worked in the pro scouting department for the Jaguars from 1995-97.
