Although the Rams were left off the final ballots for the 2011 Pro Bowl, they have three players who were selected to be alternates. Defensive end Chris Long, middle linebacker James Laurinaitis and running back Steven Jackson could still end up in Hawaii since the game is played before the Super Bowl and there tends to be several selected stars who opt out of playing the game.

“We had three guys that were recognized as alternates,” coach Steve Spagnuolo said. “To me, if you get recognized in this league at all in the conversation of Pro Bowl, I think is something we all ought to be proud of. The way they have it now with the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl there is a decent chance that one, two, three of those guys might find their way into the game.”
