Steven Jackson

If Rams running back Steven Jackson can get 105 yards on Sunday against Cincinnati, he’ll go over the 1,000 yard mark for the seventh consecutive season. Only Emmit Smith, Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Eric Dickerson Curtis Martin and LaDainian Tomlinson are the other running backs to accomplish that feat.

What makes his run at this milestone even more impressive is that Jackson has never experienced a winning season. The best has been 8-8 in 2004 and 2006 and only one playoff game in 2004 when he backed up Marshall Faulk.

After his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Faulk will receive his Hall of Fame ring and have his name added to the Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony on Sunday. The Rams retired Faulk’s No. 28 jersey in 2007. On Sunday, the team will wear the throwback uniforms Faulk wore during his first year in St. Louis.
