Missouri TE Michael Egnew has been named to the 2011 John Mackey Award Midseason Watch List. The award is given to the nation’s top collegiate tight end. The list of eight semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 14.

The John Mackey Award midseason watch list is an update from the preseason watch list. This season, Egnew has 22 catches for 275 yards, good for an average of 12.5 yards per reception, along with two touchdowns.

After a slow start, Egnew has totaled 14 receptions for 178 yards and a score in Mizzou’s last two games, including 106 yards and a 39 yard score Saturday against Iowa State. Egnew was a finalist for this award last season, along with being a First Team All-American.
