Cubs closer Carlos Marmol walked three and threw a wild pitch as the Cardinals rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 2-1 win.

Marmol forced home the tying run with a bases-loaded walk to Ryan Theriot. That was set up after back to back walks loaded the bases. Matt Holliday had singled with one out and Allen Craig pinch ran and stole second and moved to third on a throwing error from Geovany Soto.

Alfonso Soriano, the hero on Friday night, drove in the Cubs only run in the first off Kyle Loshe who went seven innings allowing six hits and striking out eight.  The Cardinals managed only five hits on the day, just four off Cubs starter Rodrigo Lopez.

Atlanta lost 4-1 to Washington, so the lead is cut back to two games with four to play.
