No pads. No #80. No coming out of retirement. Just Isaac Bruce passing along what he knows about his craft to a young corp of wide receivers in Rams’ camp this summer. Bruce has aspirations of being a coach and last year he worked with former Rams’ coach Mike Martz in Chicago with the Bears’ receivers. This year, Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo reached out to Bruce.

“Isaac and I were talking the last couple of weeks,” Spagnuolo said. “I really appreciate him coming because he is a busy man. He’s got a busy schedule but he squeezed a couple of days in here. I love having Isaac around.”

Bruce arrived in St. Louis on Sunday night and attended team and position meetings at the team hotel.

“I think a lot can be done (in a short time),” Bruce said. “We can just walk and talk, little walk throughs, tell guys what to expect, how to read a defense, stuff like that, just show them how to compete one on one.”

During practice Monday afternoon, Bruce offered advice and helped receivers coach Nolan Cromwell.
