Springfield Police say a body sat in a car at a Wal-Mart parking lot for several days before being discovered. Sergeant Darren Whisnant says a customer called 9-1-1 Sunday after spotting, and smelling, something odd. He says there’s no evidence of any crime at this point.
The 45-year-old woman was from Springfield, but her name won’t be released until the family is notified.
