George Brett, the former Royals Hall of Famer was on a conference call early Thursday afternoon and he predicted that the 3,000th hit for Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter will be harder to get than the first.

Brett said it would probably take a couple of at-bats for Jeter’s nerves to calm enough for him to get that milestone hit. Jeter sits at 2,997. Brett is one of the 27 members of the 3,000 Hit Club Brett got all his hits with the Royals from 1973-93.
