Federal investigators think a multi-million dollar credit card fraud ring has been broken up with the arrests of three people in St. Charles County. Court documents say the ring was based in Detroit. Authorities say they think they have the leader in custody in Michigan. One of the three arrested in St. Charles is described as one of his lieutenants.

The federal prosecutor says the ring used fake identification and bogus credit cards to buy millions of dollars in electronic equipment that later was sold in Michigan.
