Cardinals outfielder Lance Berkman was voted as a starter for the National League as announced by Major League Baseball. Teammates Yadier Molina and Matt Holliday will join Berkman as reserves in Arizona.

Berkman was voted in as a starter. He has 22 home runs and 61 RBIs, which are in the top five in the National League. Matt Holliday and Yadier Molina were picked as reserves by Giants manager Bruce Bochy. Holliday is hitting .319, but missed 25 games with appendicitis and a strained quad. He finished four in voting for outfielders. Molina is hitting .284 with 31 RBIs. Both Berkman and Holliday expressed interest in the Home Run Derby.
