“It’s not summer unless you’re joining thousands of Missouri athletes to compete in the biggest and best state games in the country,” said Emily Lorenz, marketing and media coordinator for the Show-Me State Games. “We want to ensure all Missourians have a chance to get registered to take part in the 2011 Games.”

The Games will kick off with the Audrey Walton Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 22 at the Hearnes Center on the University of Missouri campus. In addition to traditions like the parade of athletes and lighting of the torch, the Opening Ceremonies will also feature special guest MU softball coach Ehren Earleywine, Big 12 Softball Coach of the Year.
