The Secretary of State’s Office will accept submissions through Aug. 31 in the Great Missouri Treasure Hunt. Participants are urged to search the state’s historic records for stories about their family or community, and submit them including documents, photos or videos.

State Archivist John Dougan says submissions will be featured on social media websites and the next Blue Book, and will be preserved.

Records can be found online, including more than six million documents and photographs at www.MissouriDigitalHeritage.com.

More than 100 prizes will be awarded in three categories: Family History, Civil War History and Missouri History.
