St. Joseph officials have put an emergency evacuation plan in place for some parts of the city.
The National Guard is patrolling the levee that protects the south side and Lake Contrary areas of St. Joseph. City officials say they’re worried the levee eventually will give way because of anticipated pressure from high water in the next several weeks.
