Joplin’s tornado death toll has reached 156. Grace M. Sanders, 82, was a patient at St. John’s Hospital when the tornado directly hit the hospital. She had recently had surgery at the hospital, was treated for her injuries, then went home. She later needed more surgery and died of complications.
