The State Senate has followed the lead of the Missouri House in establishing a special interim committee on the state’s recovery from several natural disasters. Joplin Senator Ron Richard will chair the committee. Northwest Missouri Senator Brad Lager is the vice-chairman. Richard’s hometown is recovering from the May 22nd tornado. Lager’s district is dealing with flooding.
