A former Overland policeman has been sentenced to three years in prison for manslaughter and has been fined $46,000. Ex-policeman Andrew Ringeisen of Troy had pleaded guilty to pushing a man down the stairs of his home in Overland, causing the man to suffered severe head injuries.
The city settled a lawsuit filed by the man’s brothers for $1.8-million in March.
