Mitch Rutledge of Creve Coeur won the Junior Match Play Championship at Eagle Knoll Golf Club in Ashland, Missouri winning 7 and 5 over Jefferson City native Michael Huber.

Rutledge started off the first round strong and never looked back. He finished the first 18 holes with 9 birdies and firing a round of 70 to take a 3up advantage going into the final 18 holes. Huber played solid throughout the tournament, and finished the first 18 holes with a +1 73. Rutledge continued to play well in the final 18 holes never allowing Huber to gain any ground.

Rutledge ended the Championship by winning the 31st hole, and securing his victory 7&5.

Both players had successful seasons with their respective high schools with Rutledge winning the Class 2 Championship and Huber finishing 2nd in the Class 3 Championship.
