Cardinal fans thanking the Chicago Cubs. They beat Milwaukee last night 1-0, to move the Cards back even with the Brewers atop the NL Central at 38-29. The Cardinals begin a series tonight in Washington.
Jaime Garcia will start, who hasn’t gone past five innings in three of his last four starts, but he is 2-0 with a .83 ERA against the Nationals. Good news for the rotation, Kyle McClellan will be back in the rotation tomorrow. He was sidelined with a strained hip flexor.
Matt Holliday is expected to return to the lineup later this week in Washington. He’s been out since May 22nd with a strained quadriceps muscle.
