Carl Edwards and the other Sprint Cup drivers are in Pennsylvania this weekend for the Pocono 5 Hour Energy 500 tomorrow.  Qualifying will take place today, but could be held up by Mother Nature as there is a threat of rain in the forecast.

That could be a good thing for Edwards who was the fastest in yesterday’s practice session.  If qualifying is rained out, the field would be set by practice times, meaning Edwards would be on the pole.

He remains on top of the Sprint Cup standings leading Jimmy Johnson by 40 points.

The race starts tomorrow at noon.
