Jake Westbrook allowed just one run in a season high seven innings and the Cardinal hitters were patient against Phillies’ ace Cliff Lee drawing six walks and getting a 3-1 win over the Phillies in Tony LaRussa’s return to the dugout.

Nick Punto and Ryan Theriot had RBI singles in the fourth, Jon Jay added insurance with an RBI single in the seventh. Theriot, Matt Holliday and Lance Berkman each walked twice off Lee, who’s winless in six starts since throwing a three-hit shutout at Washington on April 14

The Phillies managed just four hits and had only three runners in scoring position against Westbrook who moves to 3-3. Fernando Salas pitched the ninth for his third save.
