The smoking ban movement is starting to be more than a local issue. Four eastern Missouri counties and the city of St. Louis are starting to think about a regional approach. St. Charles, Franklin, Jefferson, and St. Louis Counties and the city of St. Louis are discussing a unified smoking ban. A member of the St. Charles County Council tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the leaders of the movement want to eliminate inconsistencies in smoking policies that vary from community to community and county to county.
