The Harrisburg School District is going to a four-day school week next fall. The district is in central Missouri’s Boone County. District officials think they can save $75,000 a year in transportation costs and shorter staff work weeks.

Harrisburg district voters rejected a 30-cent tax levy increase in February. It was the second time voters had said “no” to the hike.
