A man who ran one of the country’s biggest human trafficking businesses for a decade has been ordered to prison for 12 years. And the judge says he should be deported back to Uzbekistan as soon as he’s released from prison.

The sentence goes to a Uzbekistan native who was the head of an operation that illegally moved more than 1,000 foreign nationals to the Kansas City area. Evidence showed some of them worked for less than a dollar an hour.
